SUMMER 2020 GRADUATES

IMAN MUHAMMAD
TOUR TECH | PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT | AUDIO ENGINEERING | PLAYBACK | PROGRAMMING
Hi I’m Iman, I specialise in sound and have experience in sound design, tour management and as an audio technician. The Tour Tech Training course has greatly propelled my career in the live music industry through expanding my network and gaining a wide range of skills. Recently, I have been tour managing the Jazztronica duo Blue Lab Beats, assistant sound designing at Donmar Warehouse and working as a part-time AI developer, as I have a passion for the intersection of the arts and tech. In my free time, I enjoy DJing and assisting No Signal radio with their productions.

HELENA SCOTLAND
PLAYBACK | VIDEO | RF | LIGHTING | TOUR MANAGEMENT
Before the 3T course I had recently graduated from an engineering degree & didn’t see a route into live music.
The course broadened my horizons on not only what touring roles there are but also what roles I had the capability of doing. I have our course and guest tutors to thank for that.
On the Big Weekend I was a Lighting Tech and then was in charge of the visuals – VJ’ing for the whole show. Since the course I’ve been working at labels & in artist management which has resulted in me also having to tour manage some acts. Also, I’ve been an Ableton Tech for a band who was switching their set over from MainStage. Additionally, I’ve downloaded Arena on my laptop to improve my VJ’ing skills & been doing Shure online courses ready to get on the road in 2022.

MICHELLE SHAIYEN
TOUR TECH | AUDIO ENGINEERING | PLAYBACK | PROGRAMMING
I studied performance but ended up being more interested in all the BTS stuff like writing and production which is where my interest for tech came in!
I love that this course has provided me with a scope of knowledge and skills in so many different areas that I otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance to learn and apply at the level we got the chance to, and on top of that I got to do it in a room each week with 9 other women that look like me and that i can relate to – truly priceless!
I’ve MD’d a few shows in the past but have a background in more studio based stuff and am super excited to take this all into Live! I’m your gal for all things DAW and audio based

PERUSI KAKAIRE
TOUR MANAGEMENT | PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT | PLAYBACK | AUDIO ENGINEERING | TOUR TECH
Hey, I’m Perusi and I work in Tour, Production and Stage Management. I initially signed up to the 3T course because I wanted to broaden my skill set within Live Music and Production.
The course was so much more than I could have hoped for. The scope was extremely wide and we were able to cover an impressive amount within the 12wks. We were very hands on & had a wealth of guest speakers that are currently changing the game within the industry.
Since graduation I’ve had the pleasure of working as Nao’s Tour Manager, Production Assistant at The 02 with Raleigh Ritchie and I’m currently on the UK Tour with Bree Runway.
The network we’ve created with the other graduates and our tutors remains in play to do this day. We all share job opportunities and continue to support each other on our journeys which has been amazing.
I’m excited to work with and learn from like minded people within the Industry.

YASMINE ST.CROIX
BACKLINE | STAGE MANAGEMENT | TOUR MANAGEMENT | FOH ENGINEERING
Hi i’m Yasmine, I signed up to do the 3T course because I really wanted to gain more of an in-depth knowledge of the touring industry. The course was incredible, and I will always be ever so grateful for the amazing women I’ve met on the course, and the network I now have.
Since graduating the course, I knew that the key skills I wanted to progress were in touring logistics, and management. So I felt it was a no-brainer to accept a role as Head of Hospitality and Logistics for some of London’s most respected and well known music venues.
Since undertaking this role, I have also worked as a back line tech and stage manager for many large scale events around the UK!

KARISS TOWNSEND
BACKLINE | LIGHTING | PLAYBACK | DRIVER
Since spreading my wings from 3T, it was quite a struggle securing work, as we were still in the midst of a lockdown. However, as restrictions began to soften, I’ve had the pleasure of working on assisting with playback at the Headie One Brit Awards rehearsals, backline technician for dodie UK, US, and EU tour, backline technician for Cavetown UK and EU tour, backline and TM for Tokio Myers at the Royal Opera House and Royal Albert Hall Elgar Rooms. When not on tour, I have been occupying, managing, and engineering at Domino Records resident studios.

EMILY ODAMTTEN
TOUR TECH | BACKLINE | AUDIO TECH | PLAYBACK | LIGHTING TECH | DRIVER
Since the course ended, I’ve been making connections with local venues and warehouses to gain access to equipment and experience; Putting in the work to shadow touring and local engineers has put me in a good place to take regular shifts at Bristol venues such as Rough Trade, Thekla and Motion. Thanks to the course and my own initiatives I’ve worked on a range of things from crew member at corporate events, award shows & poetry festivals to working as backline tech, sound engineer and tour manager for artists like Nao, Celeste, Icarus and Miss Kill with plans to tour with Kae Tempest in 2022.

GRACE ESIA
