WHAT
A free, practical training course for people from underrepresented gender and ethnic groups, equipping them with valuable skills, industry knowledge and connections to begin careers as touring technicians.

WHY
In July 2020, in the wake of the music industry’s global movement for change, a group of UK artists, managers and technicians were looking for an active way to make a difference. Having found it almost impossible to employ diverse crews for their tours, they wanted to begin to correct this glaring inequality.

ABOUT 3T
In July 2020, a group of artists and managers who had found it impossible to employ a diverse crew decided to do something to help correct this imbalance, and 3T was conceived; a free, practical training course for people from underrepresented gender and ethnic groups, equipping them with the skills and connections to begin careers as touring technicians.
The technical skills taught on 3T include cable making, building LED walls, tuning RF kit, operating follow spots, DMX addressing, audio patching, reskinning drums, looming, loading, and much more. This makes the graduates extremely valuable all-round tour techs on shows of any scale.
